This is one of my local St Pete pics.
I have to admit, I did do some color adjustments, it was a bit more mellow from the camera. I was hoping for a gorgeous sunrise, and it was only an average one, but still got something!

I took another trip down to Venice Beach to search for the fossilized shark teeth. I found about 100+ of the small ones (Mako, Bull, Tiger, and Snaggletooth) and near the end finally spotted one of the Megalodon.
Megalodon Tooth 2 3/4 inches

This one isn't giant, it's about 2 3/4 inches long. But, it's always fun to find a tooth from the most feared known creature to ever live! This tooth has a little damage to it, but I'm still happy.

St Pete (FL) had a triathlon that I went and took some pictures at. At the end, the running stage, I ended up standing next to one of the Triathlete wives, so she gave me the scoop as she could name almost everyone that came running by, at least in the pro or semi-pro class.

Triathlon Looker
I don't remember who this first guy was, I just liked the picture because after a mile swim, 40 mile bike, and a 6 mile run, he still has enough energy to check out the cute chick on his left.

Kevin Chasing
The guy in the red was the husband of triathlete wife. He finished pretty well in his class, but I don't remember if he caught the guy he was trailing here or not.

Sarah H
And finally, this is Sarah Haskins. She's a pro triathlete. The wife I was talking to was friends with her and gave me her email address as well so I sent her a couple pictures that I took and she did put one on her official pro web site, which is... SarahHaskins.com

Back in September (2006) I went out to the south fishing pier off the Skyway bridge, crossing from St Pete to Bradenton FL. I wanted to get a nice night photo of the skyway and it looked like the S. fishing pier would give the best angle. For those not familiar, the fishing piers were once the bridge (it's like 10 miles long or so) but a tanker crashed into it many years ago in bad weather. It caused major damage, and some people were killed. Afterwards, they built a new bridge and left the two pieces as fishing piers, which still go out from shore a couple miles each.

While I was there, I turned around and saw the moon setting over the Gulf and took a few pictures of that as well. I don't remember for sure, think the bridge shots were probably like 4 second exposures, don't think the moon was nearly that long.
